"What's News" is a 1960 episode of Popeye the Sailor, adapted from the 1934 Thimble Theatre storyline "Popeye in Puddleburg".
Plot[]
Popeye and Olive travel to the small town of Puddleburg, where Popeye has bought a newspaper, The Puddleburg Splash. Olive plans to teach the townspeople how to read, but bullies tear down the new school. Popeye defeats the bullies, and she starts her classes.
