Toreadorable is Popeye's 196th theatrical cartoon. It was produced by Famous Studios and released on June 12, 1953.
Plot[]
Popeye takes Olive to see her first bullfight (contrary to his utter contempt for such kind of animal abuse in Bulldozing the Bull), where she soon becomes infatuated with toreador Bluto, who in turn dedicates the fight to her. Bluto's performance is very successful, after which the dismissive Popeye goes into the arena for a demonstration of his own. After he eats spinach, the bull is left stuck to a flagpole by the horns following a brief tussle. But it gets free, so the sailor resorts to eating spinach to once again best it, Bluto trying and failing to prevent it. Afterwards, the beast makes yet another go at the sailor, but this time Bluto sneakily replaces the contents of Popeye's last can with Mexican jumping beans. After the sailor resultantly bounces all the way out the arena, Bluto tries to force Olive to kiss him, threatening to lead the bull towards her if she does not. But Popeye has landed on a vegetable cart marked "El Spinachio" so he gobbles up the greens, transforms into a matador and flies back in to forcibly send the bully riding away on bull-back. The short ends with a kiss between the girl and the new star bullfighter.

- Olive telling Bluto "No! No! A thousand times no!!" is a reference to the 1935 Fleischer Studios Betty Boop cartoon thus named, and its titular song.
