"Tooth Be or Not Tooth Be" is a 1962 episode of Popeye the Sailor.
Plot[]
Poopdeck Pappy is babysitting Swee'Pea for Popeye just as the baby's first tooth is about to come through, leading him to bite a rattle, the phonebook and even a table leg to pieces. After a brief visit to the dentist, the two are back home with Swee'Pea chomping on a tire while Pappy tells him a story of when he won the title of "Mr. Teeth".
Back then, jealous of Poopdeck's teeth, the Sea Hag had sent her vulture to abduct him. She kept him prisoner, intent to steal his teeth, but he bit his ropes and escaped, only to be recaptured. Then, the Hag's efforts to extract Pappy's teeth failed and he flied off on the back of the subdued vulture, thanks to his powerful chompers. After Pappy finishes his tale, Popeye comes home to find him sound asleep while Swee'Pea brushes his brand-new tooth in the bathroom.
