The Isle of Sindbad
The Isle of Sindbad is the personal stronghold of Sindbad the Sailor that appeared in the theatrical short Popeye the Sailor Meets Sindbad the Sailor. It is an imposing and large rocky island that Sindbad claims is on the back of a whale. Atop the island is Sindbad's mighty fortress of which little is seen.
Inhabitants[]
The island is mainly inhabited by the many rare beasts Sindbad has caught during his journeys, which come in all manner of varieties and sizes, making him seem like an avid collector of the rare and dangerous. Besides Sindbad, the only other intelligent individual on the island is the two-headed giant, Boola. The rest includes:
- Rokh the roc bird
- Lions
- Tigers
- Bears
- Snakes
- Cougars
- Gorillas
- Vultures
- Goats
- Exotic birds
- Sea monsters
- Dragons
- At least one duck
