The Darkness is a first-person shooter video game developed by Starbreeze Studios and published by 2K Games for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2007. It is based on the comic book series of the same name by Marc Silvestri and stars the comic's protagonist, Jackie Estacado, a young mobster who inherits the supernatural powers of 'the Darkness'.
A special bonus in this game are movies and cartoons that can be viewed on the in-game televisions. They are films that have fallen into the public domain, such as 1974's The Street Fighter and the 1930s Flash Gordon serials. The cartoon channel mostly shows Famous Studios Popeye shorts, these include:
