Synopsis

Wimpy helps Popeye find out who his true friends are. Then Popeye plans a party for his false friends.

Plot

Popeye is feeling very sad because he does not know if he has any real friends. He thinks everyone at the docks act like his friend because they are afraid of his fists. Wimpy tells Popeye to put his arm in a sling to test them. The so-called-friends will think he is helpless and take advantage of him.

They both make off for the docks to find his real friends. One by one, all the phony friends take a swing at Popeye as Wimpy makes a list of all their names. Before long, the whole town finds out about Popeye's arm. A mob of everyone he fought in the past ten years heads down the street to take a pop at him.

By the end of the day, Wimpy has a list of 130 names. Popeye goes home to plan a surprise party for all the friends he saw today. Two days later, he has Wimpy lead all party guests that swung at him through door 'B'. All others go through door 'A'.

After all the party guests have arrived, Wimpy goes through door 'A'. On the other side, all of Popeye's true friends are having a good time. The other 130 are punched-out and stacked in the middle of the room by Popeye.
