Popeye: Rush for Spinach is a Game Boy Advance video game based on Popeye, licensed from King Features Syndicate. It was developed by Magic Pockets and published by Namco in North America in 2005, and by Atari in Europe in 2006.
Rush for Spinach is a racing game with some platform mechanics, as characters must run towards the right side of the screen, trying to reach a goal first and jumping over and otherwise avoiding obstacles, and also the other racers. Not only is Popeye playable, but also Olive Oyl, Bluto and Wimpy. Helpful items along the way include skateboards, pogo sticks and cans of spinach.
A 3D-racing version entitled Popeye: Hush Rush for the Spinach was in development for the PlayStation 2 console, but was canceled before its release.
