Mary Devery is a character who appeared in the second Popeye Special, entitled "Double Trouble Down Under".
As the winner of the Bicentennial Miss Australia pageant of 1988, Mary Devery was to receive the Victoria Crown of Diamonds from the mayor of Sydney, Leighton Hughes. However, her crown was stolen by Bluto and his gang. Popeye tried to fend off the thieves, but the Sydney police believed Bluto's twin Brutus to be a part of the gang, and arrested him along with his sailor companions.
