Issue #1
King Comics is an American comic book series that ran for 159 issues between 1936 and 1952. It reprinted previously-published material from various King Features Syndicate newspaper strips, including Thimble Theatre starring Popeye. As one of their most popular characters, the sailor was featured in every issue and always graced the cover, sometimes sharing it with other characters from different King Features properties.
