Synopsis[]

Popeye guards a valuable ring for a rich man's daughter's birthday present.

Plot[]

Popeye hears a cry for help and runs to the rescue of millionaire Herbert T. Goldhold. After the three bandits are scared off, Goldhold offers Popeye a million dollars for saving his life, but he turns it down. Instead, Goldhold offers him a job to guard a ring from any other thieves until his little girl's birthday party. Popeye agrees to take good care of the girl's birthday present and him later that night on his yacht.

The boss of the three thugs is upset they let one sailor get the best of them. He wants the ring, so he sends 'IT' after Popeye to get the ring. 'IT' is the biggest, strongest one in his gang and he keeps him locked up in the cellar for everyone's safety.

But a gorilla-sized gangster is not the biggest problem heading out after Popeye, because Olive just saw an article announcing the birthday celebration for Miss Pat Goldhold, along with her picture. Olive instantly becomes jealous of the beautiful, young heiress and charges off to the harbor.

She boards the yacht and only has time to growl once at Miss Pat before 'IT' climbs over the side. Popeye tells Olive and Miss Pat to go inside to be safe. Olive and the Goldholds can hear the fight out on the deck.

'IT' throws Popeye through the bulkhead then walks in and grabs Olive. She punches him on the nose, and he starts to cry. Popeye realizes she found his tender spot and gives him another good pop in the snoot. The big sissy starts bawling like a baby and agrees to take Popeye back to the Boss to have a little talk.

The Boss is upset and orders 'IT' to beat Popeye to a pulp. However, Popeye does the beating and takes off to give the ring back to Mr. Goldhold. Olive stops and him says she would return it, so Miss Pat will not make her jealous again.
