Wimpy is off to play golf, so Popeye wants to join him to learn the game, and even makes a bet that he will win. Popeye borrows clubs from Rough House, and the latter tags along to see a good golfer like Wimpy make a fool out of Popeye. After Popeye begins to play better, Rough House starts cheating so Popeye cancels the bet and makes him pay it off.
