The Wildman

George Wildman (July 31, 1927 – May 22, 2016) was an American cartoonist born in Watertown, Connecticut. He provided the art for the long-running Popeye comic book series from 1969 to its end in 1984. In 1972, he also drew a series of educational comic books where Popeye would teach about careers.

Awards

The National Cartoonists Society awarded him "Best Cartoonist, Humor Division".
