Double-Cross-Country Race is the 181st theatrical Popeye cartoon, released by Famous Studios on June 15, 1951.
Plot[]
Popeye is driving across country against Count Noah Count. He is hopelessly outmatched, as the Count has a very powerful car, and Popeye's is barely running. And to top it off, the Count does not play fair.
Trivia[]
- This short is a something of a follow-up to Hot Air Aces.
- Count Noah Count may be considered to be one of Bluto's alter egos.
- When Popeye is about to use the wrong water, a bull's skull tells him "You'll be sorry." The talking spinach can would also say this line in the later Friend or Phony.
